Philidor Counter-Gambit Debate
Anyone who plays either side of The Philidor Counter-Gambit - or just anyone who likes to follow debates between chess bloggers - will want to read recent posts by Jim West (Jim West on Chess) and Dennis Monokroussos (The Chess Mind). Good stuff.
I've played around with it in blitz, and destroyed white each time. While technically it might not stand up under GM scrutiny, I think at club level it can be a useful secret weapon as it is so rare that white is immediately off book, and black has lots of tactical opportunities.
