Enhorabuena!!
Veronica Michelle Goeller was born on Friday, just one day short of the birthday of her great aunt and namesake (who insists, of course, that if we had not induced a week past my wife's due-date that she would have been born on Saturday). Nika was a big girl at nearly 9 lbs (predicted by her doctor to be 10 -- which is why we induced) and had a near-perfect 9.9 Apgar Score (whatever that is), which means she was about as healthy as they come. Baby and mom are doing great and resting at home. Altogether, it was much easier than the birth of our son three years ago. But I think having two little ones at home now is going to keep me away from the club for a while, or at least make my attendance more irregular than it has been this past year. I hope I will be able to keep up with my blog, though I suspect that posts will become less frequent once my immediate projects (such as the Lake Hopatcong tournaments) are complete. Thank you to all who have expressed their congratulations.
