My name is Andres D. Hortillosa. I visit your blogs often (not every day) and have come to like your writings. I am involved with a start-up (chess knowledge content provider for interactive devices) which aims to provide chess knowledge pieces similar to what you have been writing about in the Kindle, smart phones markets, iPod Touch and the new iPad. If you are interested to write for us, let me know. We will discuss the framework which we want these knowledge pieces to be built around and, of course, the royalty payments. Yes, you will actually make money doing what you love to do. Write to me at kingATplaysmartchess.com.

Hey, it's chess and New Jersey, what more do I need? The Jersey Devil is a mythological beast of local renown. The NJ hockey team's name makes reference to it, for example. Oh, and I liked the video.
So, this is definitely the wrong place for this, but I couldn't find any links on the blog for contacting you, so here you go.
I was perusing the Quality Chess publishing site as I've enjoyed all their books that I've run across. It looks like they have an upcoming release called "The Alterman Gambit Guide" which focuses on white gambits and is slated to have material on the Urusov.
Amazon seems to think it'll be out in mid March, but they're often mistaken.
Also, if there's a better way to contact you directly, you can head over to my website and hit up the contact form and email it to me....otherwise I'll keep leaving irrelevant comments on your most recent blog entry :P
Hi Steve -- Thanks for the note. My contact info is online at my personal website, which is easy to find by Googling.
Yes, I am very interested in Alterman's book. It was originally announced for November 2009 release but was pushed back by the publisher, who expects it now in March. Apparently their schedule has been affected by te rotten weather in Europe, to judge from the blog. Check their website or blog (in my sidebar) for the latest info.
I am especially interested in his notes on the Smith-Morra, which I am interested in again after many years. And always the Urusov, of course. He also has a Black gambits book to follow. I respect Alterman's work more than Nigel Davies's, though I snapped up the two Gambiteer books (the Black repertoire is much better than the White, but both are full of gaps where Davies avoids discussing the most critical lines).
Salutations Michael . . . The Jersey Devil wants to know if you have ever played his very own personal board game? It's called JERSEY DEVIL CHESS based and played on his own personal family situation! It is a very VERY BIG HIT with PineFolk of ALL AGES . . . do you dare to give it a try? LOOK FOR IT ONLY at AAbbaArt.com -- they've been making the rounds in the Pine Barrens thIs October 2011 --- YOU MUST CHECK THIS OUT!!!

What a crazy video! The monster certainly looks evil! Is there some past significance with this? Or did you just post if for fun?
